*.* No More Mission Trip =( *.*
Hello everybody! Heh, don't mean to sound so disappointed but, haiz... it's still kinda sad that I can't visit the youths there... Oh man... really miss them so much... Think sue-anne understands.. rite? haha! Yar, but have gotten over the sad phase already.. now is more of tired and trying to not get too stressed in preparing for uni life. kk, i think i should explain why the trip was cancelled...Firstly, it's too last min.. too rushed coz Ps.Ian only had less than 3 days to approve the trip when he came back from aussie. Then also there were too little pple on the trip.. Actually there were 4 of us, then one of our team member's dad didn't allow her to go.. so we were down to 3 which is very little for a mission trip. Then there's also the lack of organisation between the Singapore & Perak church... yeps yeps.. so i guess the next time we're going it'll either be in sept or dec, depending on schedule...Yeps, oh, this week I went for NUS Varsity Christian Fellowship camp... really fun man!!! started on tue 5/7/05 to fri 8/7/05.. haha today's the 8th so frm this u should've guessed that I skipped the last day of the camp =p But the first 3 days were powerpacked fun! Tue's games were pretty much centred around building up team unity and we were confined in Temasek Hall area (Temasek Hall was were the camp was held.. it's a hostel for uni students to stay lah).. But on wed night.. my gosh! We had a night treasure hunt that stretches throughout the WHOLE CAMPUS!! and NUS is VERY BIG lah!! and we have to run everywhere, climbing 6 storeys of steps up and down, run everywhere!! muscle ache now... haha but again, super fun! heh...kk, enough of the non-sense stuff haha.. Shld share more w u all the more Christian related issues.. :) The speaker was Rev. Malcom Tan (i think.. oops.. hee) & he spoke mostly on 2 Cor 3-5... Really great stuff and re-inforced alot of fundamentals that I picked up in SERVE... There were also workshops that talked about BRG, Mentoring, Evangelism & Time Management.. not bad also.. haha.. but what I got out of this camp is mostly about the importance of LOVE... haha.. coz the theme is "love compels" then alot is centered ard love.. Besides love is patient, love is kind (which I'm sure you all would be super familar by now.. haha), love is most impt of all, even more impt than FAITH & WISDOM!!! kk, that can as a very very gd reminder coz I've been thinking recently that our faith was the most impt.. but if u read 1 Cor 13:2-3, u can see that love surpasses everything: Faith, Wisdom/knowledge & service. Furthermore, as Sue-anne told us b4, Love is the main root of the fruits of the spirit!! AND the greatest commandment is LOVE!!! and the 2nd is like it =) These were very very gd reminders of how we should live our lives and how we should TREAT OTHERS AS WELL (emphasis added) hee..Yeps yeps... I think Joyce is gonna scream at me for flooding the blog again.. but I really got alot to say!! Learnt so much.. heh.. now i'm still deciding between joining VCF or Campus Crusade... heh.. think I'll go for both first then make a decision.. :) Anyway, erm... i think I'll be staying in a hostel when I start school!! haha.. yar, likely to be Temasek hall :) heh... hope i'll get a gd experience in trying out hostel life ;) kk, that's all... thanks for ur patience in reading...
